My Homework was to read 3 science fiction stories and on my blog write a bit about it with 5 key events that happened in the story.

My first story is Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters So this is a book that I’ve read before but I was just reading it again. In this book we meet the heroes of the series so far these are; Percy, the son of Persidon, Annabeth, the daughter of Athena and Grover the Satyr. Percy is feeling down in the dumps but little does he know his Adventuring life is yet to begin. That is all I will tell you if you want to find out more read it yourself or wait for this years Reading Project/Journal. Five key events in chronological order are; Then there is an attack on Camp Half-Blood. Percy meets Tyson, his half Cyclops, half-brother. On the sea of Monsters they are swallowed by a huge beast. They fight a fully grown Cyclops to get the Golden Fleece. Percy meets his cousin Thalia.

The second science fiction story is actually a later sequel to the book above. Its title is Percy Jackson and The Battle of the Labyrinth. So the book starts with a normal day at camp. Percy, Grover, Annabeth and Tyson are all training. That is until they meet the new swordsman trainer with hi pet. His name was Quintus. Quintus tells them of a man in the ancient times. His name was Daedulus and there are two stories Daedulus is famous for, which you should read as they are quite fascinating. Daedulus was an inventor and is the creator of the labyrinth that Percy and his friends enter. Five key events that happened are; Percy meeting Quintus, Tyson uses his hearing to meet Braires hundred-handed brother to cyclopes, Percy and Annabeth find out that Annabeth and Quintus are related as Quintus is Daeudulus, Grover meets the god Pan, the attack on the camp begins.

The third story is called Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone. This book is one of my favorite in the whole s series. It starts of all of Potters journeys that will come his way. The book starts of on a normal London Road with a cat perched on a ledge waiting patiently. Suddenly an old bearded man wearing a robe strolls up to the cat, which then transforms into a human. Harry a little boy is about to start his life at his new boarding school. I don’t want to spoil to much of it for you because it is a really good book that you should read. Five key events that happen are, Harry meets Ron and Herminey. Harry finds a Unicorn that has had its blood drained, Harry meets his first ever Centaur. Harry gets the stone and Harry speaks to Voldemort.

This was my homework I hope you read some of those books above.

My new homework was to continue the homework above by adding 2 more science-fiction stories.

Firstly I want to start of with a series that I think everyone might of heard of even if they haven’t watched or read anything from the series. The series is The Chronicles of Narnia. The specific book I’m about to review is The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. This is the second book in the series but many people read this first. The story starts of with a family of five. Two boys, two girls and their Mum. Their names are; Peter, Edmund, Susan and Lucy. Their mother is just referenced to as Mrs, Pevensie. Altogether this is a really good book and there is a film about this too, however reading the book helps a lot more than watching the film. Five Key events that happened are; Lucy stumbles through the wardrobe and enters Narnia. Edmund meets the White Witch. Mr Tumnus is turned into a statue by the White Witch. Aslan, the talking lion, dies and then resurrects and brings reinforcements to help Peter, The four siblings are crowned and lived in Narnia until they returned home.

The last book that I am about to review is a sequel to the book above. Its title is The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. As the title suggests, just like it did last time, a new character is introduced and he goes by the name of Caspian and his title is Prince. After a hundred years in Narnia which is only around two years in our time, the four siblings return to Narnia. Things are different as there is a new nearby civilization inhabited by humans. Again there is a film for this although I personally believe that reading the book first makes everything more understandable and clearer. It turns out that the King of the humans and Caspian’s father had other ideas of how they were going to live with the Narnians. Five key events that happen are; The Kings and Queens returned to Narnia. Peter and his family meet a semi-resistance group that take them to Narnians bunker. Peter leads an attack against the country. Peter challenges the King to a duel. The Kings army attacks and they fight.

Obviously I didn’t go into to much detail because I didn’t want to spoil it for you. So if you haven’t read them then try find them in you nearest library.
